What a mess...

WIP cont.

I wasn't fully satisfied with my trees I modeled in SketchUp so I tried something new...

I drew lines to represent tree branches, but it started to remind me of a butterfly wing

Work In Progress Boat Shed

I used the idea of a greenhouse look along with the Ivy on the windows to create a shadow.

I then tried the solar Ivy look and decided that I like it slightly better since they have more function than simple patterns covering glass.

I'm not sure about the chunkiness of the tree branches. They take up a lot space and look quite uncomfortable.

As for the seating area: I'm quite proud of how it turned out. Organic objects are a bit tricky to create in SketchUp so they're not quite right (in my mind) but they're a good representation of my idea.

I want to turn my trees into storage areas to make use of all the space I can.

I take influence from the creations of Benoit Convers of the Ibride group who made 'Donkey Martin' (top) among others...

Similar to the Solar Ivy is the idea of having a pattern covering the window so that the outside projects that pattern and creates a different sort of dappled effect...

Solar Ivy: leaf shaped solar panels that hang from a netting over a building. They can flap in the wind just like leaves and
Light shines through them and projects soft colours into the room to create a dappled light effect.
