The 'starfish flower' means something to me because once I was given a plant and from it grew this amazing flower. I didn't expect the plant to produce it so I was quite surprised, and since then I've been fascinated by it. I think it looks prehistoric and I like the colours and spots it has.

I was looking for influence for the seating area. The four top images are all organic and circular
but flowers and fern coils have segments like seats on a couch...

To make my indoor tree functional it needs to be a little more blocky. I like the way this branch shelf still looks organic even with hard edges and structural forms.
This shelf can hold books and ornaments, but on a larger scale it could also hold people.

I like the organic lines in the shadows that the branches create. I also like the idea of having soft, dappled light.
The shadows found under a tree are cool and calming. I want my space to be relaxing and peaceful. The cool greens in the leaves and the webbed shadows covering the area help give the space around the tree a soothing feel.

Me and My Tree...

This is the 'Living Tower' by Verner Panton.
The idea is that you can sit on it wherever and however you like. It's like a climbing frame.
Verner created it with bright colours to 'encourage joy and smiles', so naturally it's a very fun piece of furniture.
